UBC c̓əsnaʔəm leləm̓ Residences

Taking a cue from the adjacent woods, the new 350-bed c̓əsnaʔəm leləm̓ residence building uses irregularly patterned and coloured brickwork to reference a stand of Douglas Fir. 🡢

With a visual nod to Surrey’s agricultural past, the design for the new fieldhouse for Cloverdale Athletic Park provides proximity to athletic fields and clear sightlines for parents to easily keep an eye on kids. 🡢

Economics of Mass Timber Study

Research that tests the economic feasibility of mass timber construction applied to three common residential building typologies of 12 storeys each. 🡢

This study investigates the benefits to residential construction—unlocked sites, floor area, greater design flexibility, and improved livability—brought about by code reform allowing for a single-stair. 🡢

Research that assesses designs for zoning guidelines for the Norquay neighbourhood based on the proposed basic regulations of the Stacked Townhouse, Small House/Duplex and Rowhouse zones. 🡢

UBC Quantum Matter Institute

This large-scale addition to the existing Brimacombe Building, accommodates applied and theoretical research, provides scientists access to specialized facilities, and creates opportunities for synergies 🡢

This East Vancouver infill duplex is designed for day light, cross ventilation, and front and rear gardens. 🡢

Hummingbird Child Care

Hummingbird Child Care is a sanctuary from heavily trafficked arterials, YVR flightpath, and tall towers. 🡢
