Depot Café

Designed as a high-functioning ecosystem for consumption, production, and education, the Depot Café and Roastery is a study in minimal intervention with maximum impact. The design celebrates the building’s industrial bones—highlighting north-facing clerestory windows, raw concrete block, and exposed wood joists—while integrating bold branding graphics, a collaboration with Post Projects, that reflect the continuous energy of the space. The program is uniquely choreographed by time of day: a high-traffic service counter and stepped seating anchor the morning rush, while the building’s core transforms into an active production line for roasting in the afternoon. By evening, the space shifts again, offering a secluded environment for VIP seminars and wholesale education. It is a flexible, transparent hub that invites the public into every stage of the coffee-making craft.
